About

Toronto practitioner, Riverdale-based for the past six years. Grew up between Toronto and Hamilton, in a Chinese-Canadian family with Hong Kong heritage on my father's side and Toronto Chinatown roots on my mother's. The Lui family on my father's side were among the first acupuncturists in San Francisco. On my mother's side, my grandfather operated Ho King in Toronto Chinatown, and family recipes from his hand are at New Ho King today.

Working across classical Chinese medicine and several spiritual traditions. Practicing publicly since 2008, in clinical practice since 2015, and in public Ritual work since 2016. Teaching Qigong since 2013, teaching TCM and acupuncture since 2018.

Cantonese-speaking patients welcome. Fluent comprehension, working on conversational fluency.

One practitioner, three doors. Each door has its own intake, its own standards, its own scope. Accountability to the pattern in front of us, not the surface story, holds across all three.

Clinical practice

Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) in Ontario. Formal TCM training through the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Continuing study beyond the core curriculum in classical Chinese medicine: the historical clinical traditions passed down through family-transmitted practice, the medical lineages that served the imperial courts, and advanced needling technique studied with the late Professor Jin Zhang, a UNESCO-recognized representative of the Traditional Chinese Acupuncture Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The approach is classical Chinese medicine, grounded in the traditional pattern-differentiation method and informed by the older transmission lineages that sit behind the modern TCM curriculum.

Qigong, Neigong, and Reiki

Master of Medical Qigong through the International Institute of Medical Qigong (IIMQ), founded by Jerry Alan Johnson. Trained directly under Robert Youngs, Director of IIMQ Canada. The training covers both external Qigong forms and internal Neigong practice. Practicing qigong since childhood, with serious practice since 2008.

Usui Reiki Master Teacher trained directly under Andrieh Vitimus, who received the line from a witch. A line of witches, priests, and magicians, holding the full Usui transmission, both spiritual and clinical. The spiritual is the ground the clinical stands on.

These are contemplative practices, not regulated health services. They sit outside R.Ac scope and aren't a replacement for medical or mental health care.

Ritual and Divination

The work begins in chaos magic. Andrieh Vitimus is my sifu (师父) in this work. I continue to study with him at the Results Over Image Institute, where I now also teach as a trainer. From that foundation, I have applied the approach across multiple traditions, including Chinese Esoteric Buddhist (唐密), Wu (巫), Daoist, and Reiki frameworks, across years of public practice.

The Daoist transmission came on the basis of that work. Mao Shan Shangqing (茅山上清) and folk Daoist lineage holder, formal transmission received from Robert Youngs at his passing in 2020. Youngs received the lineage from Jerry Alan Johnson. Mao Shan Shangqing is a foundational Daoist Ritual tradition, rooted in the Mao mountains and the Shangqing school, with classical lineage going back to the fourth century.

Ritual work is spiritual work, not healthcare. Sits outside R.Ac scope, not a substitute for medical, mental health, legal, or other professional care.

Service to the profession

Returning to the board of Traditional Chinese Medicine Ontario (TCMO), May 2026–present. The provincial professional association for Registered Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners. Previously served as Director of Marketing.

In 2022, helped lead marketing and outreach for the cross-sector coalition that successfully opposed Schedule 5 of Bill 88 (Working for Workers Act, 2022), legislation that would have repealed the Traditional Chinese Medicine Act and dissolved the profession's regulatory college within days of passage. Coordinated 14 letters of support from national regulatory bodies, industry organizations, and suppliers, and was personally interviewed by the Toronto Star, CBC News Morning, and The Alan Carter Program on 640 Toronto. The amendment removing Schedule 5 passed in March 2022, preserving the regulatory framework for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ontario.
