Qigong / Neigong Coaching

Private coaching in classical qigong, medical qigong, neigong, and Yang style taijichuan at Wuji Xuan Life Wellness in Riverdale, Toronto.

Qigong and neigong are taught here as movement, breath, and internal cultivation practices. Sits outside R.Ac scope and isn't offered as medical care.

What qigong and neigong are

Qigong (氣功) has been practiced in China for over two thousand years across Daoist, Buddhist, martial, and medical streams. Qigong is the external form: posture, movement, breath, attention. Neigong (內功) is the internal work: cultivation, energetic structure, the practices that don't show from the outside. They are a single tradition taught in two layers. Most serious practitioners work both.

Not a workout. Not a stretch class. Not a relaxation routine. Those are fine things, and they are not this.

Forms I teach

  • Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin), a foundational health-maintenance set
  • Medical qigong, working with specific energetic and physiological patterns
  • Microcosmic Orbit, classical internal alchemy
  • Fragrance Qigong, a modern form with rapid accessibility
  • Spiritual qigong and neigong, the cultivation practices behind the forms
  • Yang style taijichuan, the movement form and its internal work

The approach across all of these is meta. We build up the metaphor map the tradition uses, apply it to the body, and work inside it. We honor the map without being bound to it. The map is useful because it is precise, not because it is literal.

Who comes for this

People who want something to practice, not something done to them. Practitioners of other disciplines (martial artists, dancers, yogis, clinicians) looking to work the internal layer. People already doing qigong who want correction or want to go deeper into the neigong side. People new to the work who want to start with a teacher rather than a YouTube channel.

How coaching works

One-to-one. Sixty-minute sessions. Good for people who want a form tailored to what their body can actually do, people working on something specific who want correction, or people already practicing who want to go deeper into the neigong layer.

Group classes run seasonally at the clinic, separately from coaching. Current schedule is at the clinic or by phone.

If it is your first session

Wear clothes you can move in. No equipment needed. Come a few minutes early so you're not walking in mid-form. You will learn more in your second session than your first and more in your tenth than your second. That is how the practice works.
