Grounded and legally recognized marriage officiant services in Toronto.
You have a marriage licence. You need it signed. I do that.
Registered marriage officiant in the Province of Ontario. The studio is in Riverdale. The signing takes twenty minutes. Same-day and next-day appointments are usually available.
If you want a ceremony beyond the signing, scroll down. Most couples don't.
$297 + HST. Twenty minutes. At the studio.
You bring: your valid Ontario marriage licence, government photo ID for both partners, and two witnesses. The licence has to be issued before we meet, valid within ninety days of issue, from any municipality in Ontario.
I read the legally required statements, you sign, your witnesses sign, I sign, the licence goes in the mail to the Office of the Registrar General the same day. You're married.
If you don't have witnesses, I can provide two for an additional $50 + HST. Tell me when you book.
Same-day or next-day signing: $497 + HST. Subject to availability around my clinical and teaching schedule. The surcharge applies to ceremonies booked for under forty-eight hours from inquiry.
I don't ask why. The licence is the only document that matters for the signing.
Brief ceremony — $497 + HST. Forty-five minutes. The legal signing plus vows you write or I write, ring exchange if you want one, and a small amount of personalization. Still at the studio. Up to six guests including the two witnesses.
Custom ceremony — $997 + HST and up. Full consultation, ceremony writing, rehearsal optional. My specialty is Chinese ceremony — tea ceremony, ancestor acknowledgment, and traditional ritual elements — with Cantonese cultural literacy. I also officiate Pagan, interfaith, and other spiritual ceremonies depending on what the couple needs, drawing on my training as a magician. Ceremonies are conducted in English; I can incorporate Chinese cultural and ritual elements where the family asks for them. The studio holds approximately twenty guests comfortably; the ceremony fee scales with scope rather than headcount.
A $200 + HST urgency surcharge applies to brief or custom ceremonies booked for under forty-eight hours from inquiry, subject to availability.

I respond within one business day. For under-48-hour requests, write URGENT in the subject line and I'll respond same-day if I can. Urgent appointments carry a surcharge (see fee tiers above) and are subject to availability around my clinical and teaching schedule.
Payment is required in advance to confirm the appointment. Once we agree on date, time, and tier, I send a Stripe invoice from Wuji Xuan Life Wellness, my practice; payment in full secures your booking. Appointments are not held until payment is received.
Cancellations more than seven days before the appointment receive a full refund. Cancellations within seven days are non-refundable but can be rescheduled once within ninety days, subject to availability.
I'm a Wu (巫) — a practitioner in the oldest layer of Chinese spiritual tradition, the line of shamans, spirit-mediums, and ceremony-holders that predates the organized priesthoods. My specialty is Chinese ceremony, with cultural literacy for tea ceremony, ancestor acknowledgment, and traditional ritual elements. I'm also a long-practicing magician, which means I can hold space for Pagan, interfaith, and other spiritual ceremonies depending on what the couple needs.
Ceremonies are conducted in English. I have working comprehension of Cantonese for cultural moments and family interaction.
Couples who want the legal paperwork done cleanly and quickly find I can do that too. I don't push ceremony on people who came for a signing. Most signings take twenty minutes and feel exactly as professional as they should.
Marriage officiation is offered separately from my clinical practice as a Registered Acupuncturist. This service is provided under my registration as a religious officiant in the Province of Ontario.
